🏞You travelled the countryside without leaving your room — and now it's time to bring your en plein air acrylic painting to life! 🌳 In Part 1, you joined Jacqueline Hill on location as she navigated the real-world adventure of outdoor painting across a sun-dappled Australian landscape, and you built your own interpretation alongside her, from the comfort of home. Now, armed with your field notes, your underpainting, and a head full of creative possibility, it's time to return to the studio — and take things somewhere extraordinary.
Couldn't make Part 1? No worries at all! Jacqui will open with a quick recap of the key plein air essentials, so you'll have everything you need to dive straight in and get the most from today's workshop. You won't miss a thing! 😊
This is where real magic happens. Together with Jacqueline you'll assess your composition following her 'Three Emperors' concepts. Then... unleash a symphony of daring, expressive color! Think trees that pulse with electric greens and deep violets, glowing amber, crimson, and gold against impossible skies. You'll learn how to layer and blend acrylics to create depth and drama, building a finished work that doesn't just recall a scene — it ignites it. This is painting with courage, and the result will absolutely steal the show! 💜
We'll also start and finish a new painting in this session, to consolidate the techniques you learned in the first painting.
Together, En Plein Air Parts 1 and 2 give you the complete toolkit — from packing your kit and reading a location, all the way to a bold, finished studio painting. By the end, you'll have everything you need to head out on your very own plein air adventure, whenever inspiration takes you! 🌄
