You will learn how to paint stunning watercolor artworks that will make you feel proud. You'll also have the perfect gifts to present to your friends and family.

You will:

  • experience a 3 hour workshop with step-by-step guidance from multi-award-winning artist Jacqueline Hill
  • learn new techniques for watercolor landscapes
  • impress your friends and family with beautiful artworks
  • rest from the busyness of life with 3 hours of relaxing painting

Suits beginner to advanced adults & teen painters.

You'll need:

  • a painting apron / clothing you don't mind getting paint on
  • a water bottle to stay hydrated (and a thermos with a hot drink if you want!)
  • any drawing materials you have, such as
    • pencils (HB or similar)
    • kneadable eraser (or other type of eraser)
  • watercolor paper, several sheets, about A4 or letter size. Cotton rag is the easiest to use and gets the best results but wood pulp (cellulose) paper is ok if you are on a tight budget. Choose 300gsm (140lb) thickness and Cold Press Medium texture if you can.
  • notepaper or a journal for taking notes
  • low-tack tape such as
    • Scotch brand blue Removable Tape (best for wood pulp paper) or
    • green Invisible Magic Tape or
    • masking tape (best for cotton rag paper)
  • watercolor paints, preferably with
    • 'split primary' colors (cool red, warm red, cool blue, warm blue, cool yellow, warm yellow)
    • make sure to include French Ultramarine and Burnt Umber for mixing a nice dark tone
    • a few of your favorite colors
  • medium-sized, round water brush that comes to a fine point
  • large watercolor brush or a Hake goat-hair brush
  • other watercolor equipment
    • pallet
    • soy dishes
    • tap, sink, drain
    • paper towel
    • tissues
  • don't forget to bring a smile!
